Who hasn’t seen the old street stalls selling caramelised nuts? Sweet, crispy, tasty… and full of sugar! Did you know that caramelized nuts have more sugar in their coating than the dry fruit itself?
We’ve made Sweet Crispy Nuts from the best nuts and peanuts. After toasting them lightly to increase and enhance their flavour, we dip them in natural vegetable fibre that, when dried, crystallizes into a sweet and crispy coating. The result is very similar to that of caramelized nuts, but without any added sugar, far less calories and much healthier.
The healthy snack.
Multiple studies support the benefits of incorporating nuts into our diet. They are an exceptional source of healthy fats that help regulate blood cholesterol, as well as high-quality vegetable fibre and protein. They are rich in minerals and antioxidants that complete your diet in a fun and natural way.
Sweet Crispy Nuts are an ideal healthy snack at any time of the day. Being made without all the added sugars of conventional caramelised fruit, they are a natural energy source full of protein and fibre.
Keep them in the office drawer for when you feel peckish, use them as a topping for your breakfasts, desserts and snacks or take them on day trips wherever you go. We also love them as a sweet touch on vegetable creams and salads, they look spectacular and will have an added protein!
They are ideal for getting energised before physical exercise and thanks to their practical format you can take them with you in any backpack or sports bag. Nuts are part most athletes diets.
If not coated with sugar, what is the coating on Sweet Crispy Nuts?
We don’t use sugars to make our "caramelized" nuts, we use vegetable fibre instead. The result is very similar to that of a caramelized dried fruit, with a thin layer that is deliciously sweet and crisp, but without any sugars.
Why have you chosen peanuts and walnuts?
The mixture of flavours and their nutritional values make them a great combination. By the way, did you know that peanuts are legumes and not nuts? Together they form a mix that is nutritionally complete, healthy and delicious.
Can they be consumed by young children?
Of course, our sugar-free caramelises are healthy in children's diets, too. But be careful, we recommend them mostly for adults, it’s preferable for kids to have them in the form of cream or butter to avoid choking. Kids love our healthy peanut, almond and hazelnut or cocoa butter. With very young children, we recommend checking with your paediatrician to check when it’s safe to start consuming an allergens like peanuts or tree nuts.
Do I need to keep the Sweet Crispy Nuts in the fridge?
It’s not necessary! We do recommend keeping them in a place away from heat sources and sunlight. Remember to always use the zip closure to keep the Sweet Crispy Nuts.
Can I use Sweet Crispy Nuts in recipes that are baked or heated?
Of course! Just be careful not to heat the nuts to excessive temperatures to avoid toasting them too much. All nuts tend to burn easily in the oven if the temperature isn’t controlled correctly, so we recommend you keep an eye on them.
How much can I eat per day?
Health professionals recommend a handful of nuts a day. Sweet Crispy Nuts contain no added sugar and are a fun and healthy way to add nuts to your daily diet.
